Eternal Echos is a project from my Senior Design thesis class I took in the spring of 2024. The project explores the subjects of grief, death, and loss. The project's central component is a booklet, which focuses on helping raise awareness about the grief process. The booklet was created by using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Indesign. The illustrations were created in procreate. The booklet invites readers to consider how everyone deals with grief differently while encouraging discussion on death. The booklet also explores and expands on the five stages of grief. This project is informed by a few grief and loss psychologists who helped push my research further. Talking to these professionals who deal with such heavy topics and helping others navigate these situations daily helped me dig deeper into what I wanted to convey with my project. I also conducted a survey asking people I know about how they deal with grief, inviting them to open up to create a conversation around such heavy topics. What ultimately resulted is diving deep into the topic of death, loss, and grief. When creating my project, I decided to incorporate some illustration work. After some research and a very helpful critique from my classmates, I chose to illustrate flowers for each stage of grief. This allowed me to give each stage of grief a visual. I hope to share my findings and raise awareness through my senior design project.
